P&H runs Halloween display competition for its retail customers

Palmer and Harvey, the delivered wholesaler (and NFSP partner supplier), has launched a Halloween display competition on social media, to recognise and reward independent retailers.

P&H is encouraging retailers to share their spooky displays this Halloween via Twitter.

To enter the competition, retailers need to tweet a photo of their display to @palmerandharvey using #ShopsThatScare. Terms and conditions apply, but the competition is open to all convenience, CTN and forecourt retailers, and is not exclusive to P&H customers.

Five winners will be chosen from all entries received and awarded £50 worth of high street vouchers.

Through its Category Educational Brochures, P&H has advised retailers on the different ways to drive sales this Halloween, with everything from merchandising to stock advice. "With 50% of UK shoppers purchasing Halloween-related products, a creative display is a great way to disrupt shoppers and capture some of these sales," a P&H spokeswoman said.

P&H community manager, Tinka Carrick, commented: “We are excited to see what retailers come up with! Halloween presents a great sales opportunity and will drive additional footfall. Seasonal decorations help independent stores to stand out from the competition and draw in shoppers.

“Sharing their displays on social media will also help drive engagement for retailers. P&H is committed to educating retailers about the benefits of social media and how it can help them to connect with their community.”
