The NFSP is calling on subpostmasters to encourage the government to deliver on its pledge to use our post offices as ’the front office for government’.
Post offices are the natural home for all kinds of national, devolved and local government work - whether payment, verification or identity services. The public wants and expects to be able to access these services in the trusted environment of their local post office; and in allowing this, government departments and local authorities can save on their own back-office costs.
Take action We know that ministers responsible for the Post Office are fully behind the ’front office for government’ plan. But we need to drive home our message into every corner of government - and that’s why we’re asking subpostmasters to take action.

These letters have also been posted to all subpostmasters in early January 2012.
