The NFSP has submitted a written response to a parliamentary inquiry on competition in the UK postal sector and the Universal Service Obligation.

In our response to the House of Commons Business, Innovation and Skills committee inquiry, we set out our concerns that the combination of end-to-end delivery competition, access arrangements and growing competition in the parcels market presents a very real threat to the universal service.

We also present our concerns that pressures placed on Royal Mail as a result of growing and unchecked competition will in turn create problems for post offices.
